The Bridesmaids

Helen Campbell
Maid of Honor
Childhood Friend
Helen and Michelle met on the first day of school in Sept 2007 at Fairmount Junior P.S. Michelle's best childhood memories were spending free time (after school, weekends, summer) at Helen's house, playing video games (Michelle is terrible at them; Helen is a pro), watching movies (Michelle almost instantly falls asleep like clockwork; Helen stays awake like a normal movie watcher), and going on bike rides. Michelle likes to think that she introduced Helen to anime. Helen inspires Michelle with her love for her friends, her sense of humor, and creativity.

Annie Chen
Bridesmaid
University Friend
Annie and Michelle met at a Queens University event in Toronto back in 2014. They both decided (independently) to go to Waterloo AFM and also by a stroke of fate, live in the same building in the same residence (N5 building of V1) in first year and the same scholarship program :D. Since meeting at the Queen's event, Annie and Michelle grew closer through navigating the trials of university and growing into young adults. Many nights were spent deep talking, pondering about the future (career, boys, how to live life), and having fun (Montreal trip, Iceland road trip, and Eras Tour in Foxborough Massachusetts). Annie inspires Michelle with her creative side and positive outlook on life.

Jenny Long
Bridesmaid
NYC Friend
Jenny and Michelle met on a boat in the Flushing Bay in NY. It was a dragonboat and Jenny's first time at practice with the Metro Athletic Dragons team in NY. From there, Jenny and Michelle grew closer through weekend trips to the Hamptons, workout classes (pilates, OrangeTheory, acrobatics and twerking), and many many matcha runs and literal long runs. Jenny inspires Michelle to be more open, vulnerable, and live a physically active life with healthy eating. Michelle and Jenny are running the NYC Marathon together in Fall 2027!

Sukriti Sachdev
Bridesmaid
Sister of the Groom
Sukriti is Saksham's younger sister and the sassier out of the two siblings. Saksham spent most of his life quibbling with Sukriti as kids and then managed to keep quibbling with her as adults. Despite how siblings are, Saksham trusts Sukriti completely and unsurprisingly Sukriti and Michelle get along extremely well. Often a little too well, to Saksham's chagrin, during family Mario Party nights.
The Groomsmen

Paul Bardea
Best Man
College Friend
The first memory Saksham remembers of Paul is the moment he chose to slap Saksham with his glove after attending a math tutorial in 2014 at Waterloo. Since then they became fast friends and when Saksham moved to NYC, he shipped all of his belongings to Paul's place. Paul even joined the same startup Saksham works at and they trauma bonded during the time they worked together. Paul is a caring friend that looks out for the few people he chooses to be close with in his life and Saksham feels honored to be counted amongst them.

Naren Srinivasan
Groomsman
College Friend
Naren and Saksham met in the first week of college and became closer friends in 2015. They bonded over their joint love of Radiohead, making music, and singing "No Surprises" to unwilling listeners at Waterloo parties. Saksham has a tendency to say pretentious things and Naren is always there to call him out on his bullsh*t. To this day, Naren is the sole musician behind Saksham's video game and a close friend. Naren loves his friends with all his heart.

Shan Phylim
Groomsman
College Friend
After graduating, Shan was Saksham's roommate when they worked together at Meta. Even though they were in the same class at college they became close after their countless hours spent playing video games, hiking, and going on many walks in Redwood City, California (there's not that much to do in South Bay in general, let alone during COVID). As a result they became close friends and Shan helped Saksham through some challenging times. Today, even if they don't live in the same area, they always find time to call, hangout and play Monster Hunter like they did back in the good ol' days.

Adam Li
Groomsman
Brother of the Bride
Adam was born when Michelle herself was 11, so she has known him her whole life and can't believe how grown up he is now. Michelle and Adam have some of the deepest talks together (talking about ugly truths), and he's always been the brave one when it comes to sharing (Michelle is still working on that part). Adam is smart, determined, and deeply caring. Michelle can't wait to see the life he builds, continue to cheer for him as he accomplishes his goals, and the impact he'll make. Adam started university in 2025 and Michelle is excited to see him grow into a young adult.
